Post-Industrial Ruins – Wojciech Wilczyk (Poland)
Wojciech Wilczyk is a Polish photographer, poet, author and art curator. His exhibition presents industrial buildings, abandoned for decades. Industrial architecture (or rather its quickly disappearing remnants) is an example of the successful combination of esthetics and functionality. It is nevertheless a common opinion that industrialism is devoid of esthetic value, thus factory buildings, often designed by famous architects, are undergoing gradual degradation.
